I'm going to be out of town over the next several days, so there will be no updates anywhere (fic blogs, LiveJournal or the Asylum itself).
Also, the updates to the Asylum itself are going to be slow as I'm about to completely redo the site using stylesheets and one centralized layout. Most likely I'll be keeping the current layout to some extent (I love how Soyogo renders Jyonouchi and Bakura); for the splash page I'm thinking about using manga art from Fullmetal Alchemist with some colouration added. As for the doujinshi page, I'm probably going to kill that idea for the time being; revamping the layout is probably going to take all the time I really have at the moment!
All in all, I think that's about it for now. I'm hoping to unveil the new layout in time for the Asylum's third (I think it's third, anyway; I'll check with Angel to be certain) anniversary of being on the web.

There's only one slight problem with it: Firefox eats the template settings. If you open the page in Internet Explorer, all the images line up perfectly and the green strip is continuous for the navigation panel. Open it in Firefox, and you have a green strip on the far left and a green strip on the far right, but the navigation panel comes to a random dead end. So, yeah, for this layout the best way to see it properly is to use Explorer. I'm gonna check it out in regular Mozilla and see if it still gets eaten up.
Okay, look. I know Christmas is coming. I've been hearing the bloody music since Thanksgiving Day. I know that there are other holidays occurring at the same time that deserve attention as well (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice).
However, there are people protesting against stores saying "Happy Holidays" rather than "Merry Christmas" because apparently that is the only holiday that occurs in December so far as they are concerned. As a result, my LJ friends page has erupted with protests against the protestors. Which is all well and good... so long as the rant is behind a cut tag so people who are already tired of this shit don't have to read it or scroll for a thousand years to get to something else. Which no one seems to be capable of at the moment, so intense is their fury.

I've been working mostly on my novel, so there's not much Asylum related in this update. However, there are a couple:
That's the main things that have been completed Asylum-wise. Anything else isn't that important (although I'm pleased to have finished the first chapter of my novel Original Sin).
I'm slowly switching this baby over to a babble blog. Meaning, I may still include website updates but more likely I will be writing out stream on consciousness randomness that may be more than some people can handle. Approach with the utmost caution!
